Newsworthy Olympic Moment: Fell over but still won!

Sifan Hassan stunned the athletics world with a miracle 1500 metre win this week after falling over on the final lap.

World champion Sifan Hassan made an incredible recovery from a fall at the final bell to win her 1500 M heat at the Tokyo Olympics on Monday.

Hassan picked herself up after getting in a tangle while racing with Kenyan runner Edinah Jebitok at the start of the last lap. She sped around the outside of the pack on the back straight and ended up crossing the line first in 4 minutes and 5.17 seconds to qualify for the semifinals.

Hassan also qualified for the 5000 M later in the week.

In my personal opinion this is really cool because the dedication she had to get back up after a fall in the Olympics when everyone is watching is really hard. I can barely say a speech in front on my class witch has  only 31 people. Meanwhile there were cameras filming for everyone in the world to watch her.  She is very courageous!

How many times do you think people have fallen over at the Olympics?

The Vagabond tomato

For are poetry we had to figure out the meanings behind this poem and why the tomato would leave and the meanings for the words. I really enjoyed this work piece as I have done it before. Its was't just this peom there was others as well

.

My Myth

A shrill cry echoed in the mist. I walked carelessly through the crumbled city.

What was once A beautiful hotspot for anyone trying to get away from the real world is now a forgotten place left to rot and die. As I'm walking through the ruins of this city I can hear dozens of Babies crying. I see mothers and fathers trying to comfort their children. I can taste the sadness and sorrow in my mouth and I feel the fear in their heart. Life before the Big bang was impeccable. It was the closest thing to heaven there was. But when it came it came fast. No one had time to prepare for anything for what was about to happen. In just a matter of time everything change.I don’t think anyone could let go of that memory. But all good and bad things must come to an end so in that moment the best thing that you could ever imagine was there. It was better than any amount of riches you could ever have. A helicopter from search and rescue. You could hear cheers all round. It was the end of the nightmare. I can finally rest easy now.

The best place to go on holiday

The best place to go on holiday in my opinion is Tokyo. It's filled with bucket loads of  places to go. Some designed for the modern world; some filled with ongoing traditions. Personally I have never been to Tokyo but if I had the opportunity to go, I would without a doubt go.Tokyo has one of the best and longest ongoing  traditions. Especially with their food and drinks. The people of Asia have extraordinary ways of preparing . Also here's a fact: Japan didn't invent sushi or raman its was China. Japan just perfected the two dishes. But enough with traditions, time to talk about The tourist attractions. Tokyo is a very advanced country so that means they have something for pretty much everyone, from meals to rides to anything you could want. Tokyo may have it.

Man Gets Swallowed By A Whale!

A man in the US has claimed to have been swallowed by a whale.

Even though this sounds like codswallop it is real. Micheal Packard, a commercial lobster  diver says he was swallowed by a whole humpback whale off of Massachusetts coast on Friday. He says he was in the whales mouth for about 30 seconds. He was able to breath because he had his oxygen tank on. Micheal says it was completely dark in there and all he could think about is his to boys one 12 years old and the other 15. In a last attempt to save himself he started shaking inside the whales mouth. and it worked the whale spat him out near shore and he saved himself.Hes spending 2 days in the hospital to recover.
